How the Evo Rate Calculator works

The estimates are generated by a deterministic rate function—not by an AI model—and every displayed example uses the same calculation.

Calculation formula

    Convert the trip to billable minutes

    The calculator accepts whole-minute trip lengths up to 15 days. Evo Return pages can impose the published one-hour minimum before calculating the estimate.

    Apply the lowest applicable time charge

    Minute charges use $0.49/minute and cap at $17.99/hour. Six hours reaches the $104.99 daily cap. The calculator also evaluates the $264.99 three-day and $424.99 five-day rates, including combinations for longer trips.

    Add trip fees

    Every estimate includes the $1.85 all-access fee. At eight hours, it adds the $1.50 passenger-vehicle rental tax, with another charge for each additional 24-hour period.

    Calculate sales taxes

    12% combined GST and PST is calculated on the time charge, all-access fee and applicable passenger-vehicle rental tax.

  5. 5

    Optionally apply the BCAA discount

    When selected, the calculator deducts 10% of the time charge and its associated sales tax. The discount does not reduce the all-access fee or passenger-vehicle rental tax.

Rates are checked against Evo's public rate page. Material rate changes update the calculator, examples, API response and verification date together. If you spot an error, email evoratecalculator@gmail.com.
